SSG (Ret) Kenneth L. Green

SSG (Ret) Kenneth L. Green, age 80, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the VA Hospital, Nashville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Full military honors will be rendered. His remains will be cremated following the service.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Kenneth was born June 21, 1932 in Jasper, Alabama, son of Oliver and Willie Howell Green. He was retired from a career with the U.S. Air Force in which he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He dutifully served his country in the Korean War and in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Kenneth was a graduate of Tampa University and the first minority manager of Morrison Cafeterias. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his loving wife, Helene Connors Green of Clarksville; sons, George Larry, Lil' John, John Russell, Johnny Lamont, Kenneth, Jr., and Michael James; and daughters Shirley, Eleanora (Mish), and Suzan Rennee. He was the proud grandfather of 26 and great grandfather of 39.
