Sibyl Harris

Sibyl B. Harris, 88, Clarksville, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Chapel with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 14, 1919 in Stewart County, daughter of James Thomas Barnett and Susan Hewell Barnett. She was the widow of Alfred Eugene "Jeep" Harris. Mrs. Harris was a retired Montgomery County School Teacher for Moore Elementary and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Fred Harris, Denver, Col., John N. Harris, Clarksville; daughters, Dianne Harris, Clarksville, Sue Harris Brown, Gainesville, Fla.; sister, Ruth Barnett Clark, Clarksville; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jarryd Harris, Jesse Harris, Mark Barnett, Russ Clark, Dwight Dickson, Dwayne Miller, Leslie Barnett and Billy Barnett.
