Shyara Acevedo-Olavarria, 18, Clarksville, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Oak Grove. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Pastor Pedro Sanchez officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born February 27, 1990 in Puerto Rico, daughter of Gerald M. Acevedo and Aracelis Olavarria Zapata. She was employed in the food service industry, a member of the Pentacostal Church of God, M.I., and was a 2008 graduate of The Teenage Learning Center, Clarksville. In addition to her mother and step-father, Luis F. Zapata, both of Clarksville and her father of Atlanta, she is survived by her brothers Gerald Acevedo and John Michael Ramos, both of Puerto Rico and Samuel Caceres of Clarksville, sisters Sara Acevedo and Shayna Zapata, both of Clarksville, maternal grandparents Ramon Olavarria of Puerto Rico and Maria Correa of Clarksville, paternal grandparents Manuel Acevedo and Juanita Concepcion, both of New York, and step paternal grandparents Luis (Miriam) Zapata of Puerto Rico and Myrna Vega (Ralph) Parker of Adams, TN. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
