Shirley Jean Stokes, age 59 of Basehor, Kansas, formerly of Woodlawn, TN, passed away Thursday November 17th, 2011 at her residence. A Celebration of life service will be held 1pm Saturday November 26, 2011 at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Chapel with Rev. Beverly Dycus officiating. Burial will be at Wilee’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday November 25, 2011 from 3 pm to 7pm and Saturday November 26, 2011from 11am until the hour of service.
Shirley was born in Montgomery County, TN February 10, 1952 daughter of the late Thomas Martin and Annie Mae Smith Clinard. She was a homemaker and a member of Wilee’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a former Bus Aide with CMCSS. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Barbara Carney and Donna Bryant. Shirley was an Organ Donor.
Survivors include her husband, William Stokes also of Basehor, Kansas; her daughters, Daniele (Tom) Brown of Basehor and Angie (Chris) Robertson of Woodlawn, TN; her brother Tommy Clinard of Dover, TN; her grandchildren Hunter Austin, Gatlin Brown, Kaydin Brown, Westin Brown, Amelia Robertson, and Emily Roberston.
Pallbearers will be, Earl Ray Keatts, Ronnie Nicholson, Donnie Nicholson, Monty Nicholson, Joel Justice and Andy Jensen
