Shirley Parish

Shirley June Parish, 76, Clarksville, died Wednesday, June 28, 2011, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2011 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Verlon Moore officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. noon until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. She was born October 15, 1934 Harrisburg, IL and was preceded in death by her parents, Lyman Hansel Stuby and Altha Aona Hancock Baker; and her husband, Donald E. Parish. Miss Shirley was a cosmetology instructor and mananger at Queen City College and attended Hilldale Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Gary Alan (Shirly) Parish of Fairfield, CA and Donald Lee (Kathy) Parish of Clarksville; daughters, Sherry Lynn (Harry) Young and Nyra Jo (Stephen) Akins of Clarksville; sisters, Nell Rose Robertson, Florida, Kay Elaine (Frank) Vautrin, Michigan; half-brother, James H.
