Shirley Marie Vance, 77, Indian Mound, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2012 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Shirley was born August 23, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Huddleston and Pauline Engelhart Howe and the beloved step-daughter of Ray Howe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Franklin Vance and their son, Russell Franklin Vance, Jr. Shirley was a homemaker, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include her sons, James Timothy Vance of Indian Mound, Ray Michael Vance of Indian Mound, Steven Franklin Vance of Clarksville, and Mark Alan Vance of Indian Mound; grandchildren, Michael Ray Vance and Trenton Vance; sister, Paula Kunz of St. Louis, MO; niece, Phyllis Salvaggio (Michael); and great niece and nephew, Ashley and Scott Marek.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (877-958-2233), the Humane Society, or the charity of your choice.
