Shirley Jean Jackson, age 71 of Cunningham, passed away at Gateway Medical Center on Saturday, January 3, 2015.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. James Shepherd and Rev. Michael Koontz officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Monday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Shirley was born on January 30, 1943 in Cadiz, KY, the daughter of the late Lofton Jones and Elizabeth Owens Jones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Jackson. Shirley worked as a manager at Wal-Mart and was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Dwayne Keith (Deborah) Jackson and Dennis Ray Jackson; daughter, Sherry (Danny) Wells; grandchildren, Christopher and Bradley Jackson; great-grandchildren, Addison and Haley Jackson; brother, Lofton Dwight Jones; sisters, Sue Gladden and Kay Stringer.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Jackson, Walter Jones, Michael Gladden, Travis James, Toby Sasser, David Layne, Josh Layne, and Bradley Jackson.
