Shirley Hewell

Shirley A. Hewell, age 78 of Woodlawn, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at her home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Oakwood Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne James and Rev. Garrette Milliken officiating. Burial will follow at Wilee’s Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the church.
Shirley was born on May 3, 1937 in Greenbrier, TN, the daughter of the late Adam Bowling and Bertha Bowling. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Ray Bowling. She was a homemaker and a member of Oakwood Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ward “Straw” Hewell, Jr.; son, Jeff (Donna) Hewell; brother, Bobby Bowling; sister, Betty Greer; grandchildren, Denver Hewell and Adalia Hewell.
Pallbearers will be Chris Parker, Marty Watson, Bryan Knight, Bill Pollard, Brian Randall, Phil Phillips, Mike Phillips, and Zach Alexander.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Oakwood Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund.
