Shirley Anne Amyx, age 75 of Clarksville, went to be with the Lord Friday November 9, 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday November 17, 2012 at Hilldale Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Robertson officiating. Visitation will be held 9 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the church.
Shirley was born March 7, 1937 in Keysburg, KY, daughter of the late Leonard Wesley and Ivey Belcher Smith. Shirley was a well-known Piano Technician in Clarksville and surrounding communities. She was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. She also served as a faithful pastor’s wife with her husband, Rev. John Amyx for over 45 years.
In addition to her loving husband she leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Tim (Kelly) Amyx of White House, TN; her step-sons, Tom (Sherry) Amyx of Richmond, IN and Ron Amyx of Newark, Ohio; nephews, Don Towe, Larry Smith and Robert Smith; many grandchildren and great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
