Sherry Williams Conyers, born on January 16, 1956, in Clarksville, Tennessee, to the late Reverend Dorset and Helen Williams, passed away peacefully at her home in Erin, Tennessee, on Saturday, October 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Erin Community Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service Saturday afternoon.
Sherry was a proud graduate of the Montgomery County School System in Clarksville, Tennessee, and a devoted member of Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Erin. She served faithfully in the church choir whenever her health allowed, and one of her favorite songs, Victory is Mine, brought her much joy as she listened and sang along.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Dorset and Helen Williams; her sister, Sandra Wynn; and her brother, Dorset Williams Jr.
Sherry leaves behind cherished memories with her children, David Conyers, Jr., and Angela "Butter" Cartwright, along with her devoted son-in-law, Robert Cartwright; her husband, David Conyers; her siblings, including her devoted sisters Diane (Marshall) Parker, Linda Pickett, her brother Michael Williams; and her treasured grandchildren, Nyima “Muff” Conyers, Jasmine Conyers, J’Hzayiah Lewis, and Mashayla Conyers. She is also survived by her precious great-grandchildren, Skyelar Maxwell, Chandlar Maxwell, J’Hvaylah Lewis, and J’Hream Lewis. Sherry held dear her close friends Kimberly Williams, Jessica Lyle, Edna Turner, Pamela Hillsman, and Cheryl Vaughn.
Sherry never met a stranger and extended kindness to everyone she met. Her warmth, faith, and devotion to her family will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
