Shelby Morrison

Shelby Jean Hodges Morrison, age 85, of Cunningham, TN passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Marion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Friday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Shelby entered this life on January 2, 1939 in Cumberland Furnace, TN to the late James Ramey Hodges and Dottie Bell Greene Hodges. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Shelby enjoyed gardening, travelling on her girl’s trips, and most of all, spending time with her loved ones. She was also a devout Elvis Presley fan.

She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Morrison Wallace (Brady McCahren), and Melissa Mercer (Kenny); brothers, James (Carol) Hodges, and Carney Hodges; grandchildren, Amber Wallace, Aaron Wallace, Ryan Hester, Michael Wallace, Robert Wallace, and Kourteney (Rodney) Weaver, and three great-grandchildren. Shelby also leaves behind many other family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Wallace, Ryan Hester, Chris Bearden, Donald Greene, and Lucian Greene.
