Sheila Roby Shores

Sheila Roby Shores of Collierville, Tennessee, adored wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 84 on February 16, 2025.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. 

Family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. 

She was born November 11, 1940 in Erin, Tennessee to the late Harold Edwin and Lacey Scott Roby. She was raised in Houston County alongside her loving extended family. After college at Austin Peay State University, she married the love of her life, Bob Shores and moved to Nashville, Tennessee. She completed her coursework at Baptist Hospital to become a registered Medical Technologist. After the birth of her children, she became a stay at home mom, devoting her time to the care of her family. She was active in her church teaching Sunday school for many years to preschoolers. In later years after moving to Memphis, TN and joining Bellevue Baptist Church, she shared her love for Christ through witnessing to inner city children and sharing the gospel on mission trips to Brazil. God, family and home were her priorities. Her attention to detail made everything she did have meaning and purpose, whether it was cooking a fabulous dinner, spending quality time with her husband, children and grandchildren or decorating her home. Sheila will always be remembered for her sweet smile and kind heart. She loved to laugh and cultivated an environment of harmony.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert B. Shores; two daughters, Shari Raynor (Kim) Cordova, Tennessee and Kristi Pegg (Billy) Eads, Tennessee. Sheila was also blessed with grandchildren, Beth Raynor, Taylor Parrish, (Michael), Ryan Pegg (Madeline) and three great grandsons Palmer and Grey Parrish and Wesley Pegg; sister-in-laws, Sue Roby and Lela Roby; brother-in- law Steve Shores(Lynne) and a host of nieces and nephews . She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Edwin and Warner Roby.
