SGT (Ret.) John Laskowski

SFC (Ret) John F. Laskowski, age 88, of Clarksville, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Tennova Healthcare.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Kent Holz officiating. Burial with full US Army Honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. John’s family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.

John entered this life on May 4, 1934, in Detroit, MI, to the late Marian and Mary Piwowar Laskowski. Following a career with the US Army, John worked for Civil Service and again retired. In addition to being a Vietnam veteran, John held memberships and affiliations with the 11th Armored Calvary Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia (life member), The American Legion Post 2000, Queen City Lodge 761 F&AM, and Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lore Laskowski; daughter, Judy Laskowski; and his siblings, Chester Laskowski, Virginia Day; brother-in-law, Mike Ciak.

Survivors include his sons, John M. Laskowski, Mike Laskowski, Ray Laskowski; stepdaughter, Dianne (Steve) Hawkins; stepsons, Johnny Shepard, David (Melinda) Shepard, and Ronnie (Deanna) Shepard; grandchildren, Jimmy, Jessica, Justin, and Sara Shepard, Adam Hawkins, Waylon Hawkins, and Tyler Ryan Britt; and great grandsons, Jason Laskowski, Trent Laskowski, Cody Laskowski, Drew Shepard, and Jackson Levi; sister, Sue Ciak.
