1SG Stephen “Buzz” Givens, 44 of Clarksville, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 at his residence.
A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Community Chapel 15th & A Shau Valley Road, Fort Campbell with Chaplain William Silva officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at Community Chapel.
Stephen was born on November 23, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of the late Russell D. Givens Sr. and Mary Burke Egenberger. He was an active duty soldier in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Campbell, KY currently serving with the HHC 101 CAB. During the 26 years of his military career, he served 1 tour in Iraq, 3 tours in Afghanistan, and 2 tours in Korea and served in the Panama Operation.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kelly Riedel Givens; sons, SPC Zachary Russell Givens, and Corey Jacob Givens; mother, Mary Burke Egenberger; half-siblings, Robin (Brad) Errigo, Russell Dean Givens Jr, Cheryl Givens, and Cindy Givens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to 365 Pediatric Cancer Fund at 2200 Children’s Way, Nashville, TN 37232.
