SFC Rodney Kiser

SFC Rodney Lynn Kiser (Ret), 58, Clarksville, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at VA Hospital in Nashville.
A celebration of his life will be 12 noon, Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
SFC Kiser was born August 15, 1958 in Greensboro, NC and was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie Kiser and Frances Gibson Kiser Truitt; as well as his beloved husky, Aries.
During his 24 years of service in the U.S. Army, he was awarded the Army Achievement Medal (6), Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3), Army Commendation Medal (4), Army Good Conduct Medal (8), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal (2), Korea Defense Service Medal, and the Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Staff (BSS).
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Rosa Kiser; daughter, Sheri Kiser; step-daughters, Elizabeth (Andrew) Gaskill, Amanda (Alex) Snow; sister, Kathy (Raymond) Beaman; brothers, Ricky Kiser, Terry (Dee Ann) Kiser, and Michael (Amy) Kiser; as well as many other nieces and nephews, in addition to his beloved dogs, Harlee, Jackson and Roscoe.
