SFC (Ret) Samuel Camacho

SFC (Ret) Samuel James Camacho, age 64, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon Monday, June 6, 2022 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor Hae Lee officiating. Following, he will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Full U.S. Army Honors will be rendered.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Samuel entered this life on October 25, 1957 in East Chicago, Indiana to Guadalupe Camacho and the late Pedro Camacho. As a young man, Samuel entered into active duty service with the U.S. Marine Corps, with service in the Corps for 5 years. He then transferred his enlistment to the U.S. Army and continued his service to country for a combined total of 24 years. A Desert Storm veteran, Samuel then went on to work for and again retire from the U.S. Postal Service.
In addition to his mother, Guadalupe, survivors include his loving wife, Yong S. (Lee) Camacho; his son, Gary Camacho; his siblings, Pedro Camacho, Gerard Camacho, Francisco Soto, Santiago Soto, Maria Lurisa Camacho, Laura Hernandez, and Yvette Franco. Samuel is also survived by one grandchild.
