SFC (Ret) Jose Juan Torruella, age 75, of Clarksville passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial with US Army Honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Rosary starting at 6 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Jose entered this life on September 20, 1946 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Miguel Toruella and Ana Rosa Santiago. He enjoyed working on his car and attending Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Jose was a retired Veteran of The United States Army. He was a Helicopter Mechanic with the 101st Airborne Division. During his Military career, Jose proudly served in the Middle East during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Lucia Gonzalez Torruella; children, Annaeve Victorin, Israel Gaud, and William Marrero; siblings, Juan Torruella, and Rosa-Maria Silva-Santiago; grandchildren, Jordan Holder, Yanick Victorin, and Julia Morrison.
