SFC (Ret) Angelo James Enoch, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Greater Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Willie J. Freeman officiating. The Enoch family will receive visitors from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. He will be laid to rest with full US Army Honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Angelo entered into this life on November 18, 1951, in Lee Co., South Carolina to parents Melon James Enoch and Pollie Mae Bishop Enoch. After graduating Butler High School in 1970, Angelo joined into the U.S. Army and completed a career spanning over 23 years of service. During service to his country, Angelo was deployed on various tours in the Middle East during Operation Desert Storm, and to Germany for three tours. He served as a Platoon Sergeant and was a Petroleum Supply Specialist. He was the recipient of numerous awards and decorations including the Army Achievement Medal, the Bronze Star, and the Meritorious Service Medal. Angelo also participated in an advance NCO program, and the Ft. Campbell Air Assault school. During his military career, he was also active in the Color Guard, Burial Guard, and Artillery Training. Following his time in the Army, Angelo worked at North East High School and at the Teen Center on the Ft. Campbell installation. Angelo was a proud member of the Greater Missionary Baptist Church Family.
Angelo will be remembered as a devoted, loving, and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Anyone who met him quickly loved him.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 47 years, Vivian Bacote Enoch; sons, D'Angelo Enoch (Melissa), Antwan D. Enoch, and Eric A. Enoch; sister, Pearl Reeves (Carl); grandchildren, Aviana L. Enoch, Eriel A. Enoch, Simone Brown, and D'Angelo J. Enoch II; and great grandson, Masiah Z. Brown.
