Selma Adele Caskey, age 75 of Clarksville, TN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 18, 2011.
She was born April 5, 1936, the youngest of 4 children. Selma, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, served in many callings over the years. She was an accomplished artist in many mediums, including stained glass, porcelain, pottery, and oil paintings.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Amos Roy Caskey; her daughters, DeEtte Arias and Renee Caskey-Khan; her son, Allen Caskey; a sister, Mary Thorpe; a cousin, Leona Day; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 801 Lafayette Road, Clarksville. Burial will be in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the church.
