Lucius Scott Slade, Jr., 64, Clarksville, passed away at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Robinson officiating. Military honors will be rendered. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. Commital will be at a later date at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Scott entered this life on August 1, 1947 in Bogalusa, Louisiana, son of the late Lucius Scott Slade, Sr. and Pearline Burch Slade. He was an engineer with the Ft. Campbell Department of Public Works and was a veteran of the US Army. Scott dutifully served his country in Vietnam and was a recipient of The Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hopson Slade of Clarksville; son Kenneth E. Yingst, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Murfreesboro; daughter, Brenda L. Centore and her husband Dave of Jupiter, FL; grandchildren, Ashley (Kevin) Yingst, Jordan Yingst, Ava Grace Centore, Sophie Centore, and Emma Centore; great grandchild, Kairi Hurt; mother-in-law, Lakie Hopson of Clarksville; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sandra Powell, James and Karen Hopson, Pam and David Ford, Terry Hopson, and Kathy and Jason Morris, all of Clarksville.
