Sarah Catherine Satterfield, 65, Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her residence.
A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Kenneth "Pete" Feagins officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Henderson, NC.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born July 5, 1950 in Roberson, NC and was preceded in death by her parents, Nosroe and Kathleen Barton Oxendine; sisters, Viola Hood, Mary Helen "Tee" Boltin, Mary Lee "Black" Mearers, and Annie Sue Oxendine; brothers, James Oxendine, Herbert Oxendine, and John Willie Oxendine.
Sarah retired from Letica after many years of service. She was a member of Heart and Soul Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ben W. Satterfield of Clarksville, TN, which was the twinkle in her eye and he called her his Squaw. She also is survived by her sisters, Nelfice Lynch, Alice Feagin, and Ellen (Moosie) Oxendine all from Dillon, SC; brothers, Eugene Oxendine, Nosroe Oxendine, Jr. (Peanut) and Antonio (Tony) Oxendine all from Dillon, SC; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Soul Church.
