Sandra Gale Waldrop, age 61, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her home in Clarksville while surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Len Scott officiating. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The Waldrop family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday.
Sandra entered into this life on January 4, 1955 in Woodlawn, daughter to Roy Thomas Smith, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth Bromley Smith. She grew up in the Woodlawn Community in Montgomery County and graduated from Northwest High School. On July 24, 1976 she and Ernest Lee Waldrop were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony and began their life journey together. Sandra was formerly employed with Bootster and Acme Boot Company's Distribution Operations and more recently was involved in providing child care. She was a member of the church family at Pardue Memorial Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband Ernest of Clarksville, she is survived by her children, Brian (Tracy) Waldrop of Knoxville and Misty Waldrop of Clarksville; brother, Roy Smith, Jr. of Big Rock; and two beloved grandchildren, Tyler and Colby Waldrop.
Serving as pallbearers are Ike Wampler, Don Wilbanks, Tim Cash, Jeff Sykes, Robin Bagwell, Samuel Jator, Henry Robinson, Jimmy Shinton, Tracy Minster, and Larry Harrison.
