Sandra Ullrich, a resident of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at the age of 76. Born and raised in the heart of the Marrero, Louisiana where she resided for over 70 years.

Sandra entered this life on January 31, 1949, to Vivian (Herman) Boudreaux and Harold Bourgeois, Sr. She was a proud graduate of West Jefferson High School, Class of 1966. Sandra had a heart for people and a gift for making others feel seen. She spent the early years of her career as a beautician, sharing not just her talent, but her warmth and conversation with everyone who sat in her chair. Later, she found a new path with the United States Postal Service, where she faithfully served as a letter carrier for 28 years. To her, it was more than a job—it was a chance to care for her community and be a constant in their daily lives. Her compassion extended beyond her work. Sandra was a passionate advocate for her fellow postal workers, serving as both shop steward and president of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), Branch 4323 in Marrero. La. She fought hard for fairness, always with integrity and heart. Sandra also knew how to celebrate life. As President of the Westbank Party Animals Carnival Club, she brought people together with laughter, joy, and an unforgettable spirit. She made friends who became family, and memories that will be treasured forever. She will be remembered for her incredible strength, her generous heart, and the way she loved without limits. Sandra touched countless lives through her kindness, leadership, and unwavering devotion to those around her. Her legacy is one of service, joy, and love—a light that will continue to shine in all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father,Harold Bourgeois, Sr.; step-father, Herman Boudreaux, and brothers, Daniel Bourgeois and Keith Bourgeois.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas Ullrich; beloved daughter and best friend, Danna Ullrich Chambless, with whom she shared a bond of unconditional love, laughter, and unwavering support-a connection that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew them. Sandra also leaves behind her son-in-law, Michael Chambless; grandchildren, John “Jae” Esteen (Asia), Brock Gregoire (Justine); bonus grandchildren, Mason Chambless and Brady Chambless; great-grandson, Magnus Esteen; siblings, Pam Campiso, Karen Jenniskens (Johnny), Brian Bourgeois (Angie), and Harold Bourgeois (Claudia). She was also known as “Aunt Sandra” to many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
