Iola Adaline “Sally” Hayes, age 103, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Signature Health Care in Erin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Jetter and Rev. Jim Groves officiating. Burial will follow at Nesbitt Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and from 2 p.m. until the hour of service on Saturday at the church.
Iola was born on September 28, 1912 in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Richard Clayton Evans and Thomas Adaline Birdwell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Freddie M. Hayes. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church for over 40 years and had a love for gardening and planting flowers.
Survivors include her children, David Hayes and Ann Gillis; 3 grandchildren, Michael Scott Hayes, Eric Paul Hayes, and Sarah Gillis; multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant View Baptist Church Family Life Center.
