R.V. Ball, age 89, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Justin Collett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
R.V. was born June 25, 1924 in Lexington, TX. He was retired from a career with the Tennessee Dept. of Education and specialized in Finance. R.V. was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force where he was a 1st Lieutenant and pilot. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
R.V. was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Ball. Survivors include his nephew, J.W. Guthrie; nieces, Linda Smock (Rick), Lillian Coleman, and Kathy Guthrie; and sister-in-law, Ruth Coleman.
Pallbearers will be David Morgan, Rick Smock, Kerry Smith, Laurin Ussery, Tom Neville, and Mike Bryant. Bobby Moore, Dan Watson, and Freddy Abernathy will serve as honorary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 2269 Seven Mile Ferry Rd., Clarksville, TN 37040.
