Ruth Rawlings

Ruth Ellis Rawlings, age 93, of Woodlawn, went to Heaven on Saturday, May 8, 2021.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Michael Campbell and Pastor Michael Guertin officiating. Burial will follow at Central Chapel United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021, and again from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Ruth was born on January 6, 1928 in the Sailor’s Rest community in Montgomery Co., TN. The daughter of the late Clarence and Laura Ellis. Ruth was a retired bookkeeper/secretary/Assistant Manager of Cumberland Wholesale with over forty-five years of experience. She was a Christian lady who belonged to Central Chapel United Methodist Church, where she served as Treasurer for over forty years.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Rawlings; sister, Lucille Smith; grandson, William Rawlings Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Dianne (Michael) Campbell; son, Jerry (Vickie) Rawlings, sister, Josephine Williams, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
