Ruth Halliday

Mamie Ruth Jackson Halliday, 79, Clarksville, died Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Gateway Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Revs. Louie Montoya, Ronald Burgess and Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home. She was born March 16, 1931 in Montgomery County and was the daughter of the late, Claude Warren and Idell Wall Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Graham Halliday; son, Andy Steven Ferrell; brothers, Charles A. Jackson, William Horace Jackson and her sister, Mildred Jackson Sleigh. Mrs. Halliday was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God. Survivors include her son, Rev. Tim Ferrell, Woodlawn; daughter, Tammy Massey Woodlawn; daughter-in-law, Linda Ferrell; grandchildren, Shannon Ferrell, Teresa Ann O'Neal, Ashley Jones, Stacey Massey and Tiffany Massey; and great-grandchildren, Abigail, Ethan, Carson and Tori. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
