Russell Vance

Russell F. Vance, 77, Indian Mound, died Friday, August 8, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, with full military honors. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born June 10, 1931 in Scottdale, PA and was the son of the late Jesse Vance and Bertha Green Vance. Mr. Vance was retired from the U.S. Army, where he served in Vietnam and the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Florida and also retired for Trane Company. He was a Christian. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Huddleston Vance, Indian Mound; sons, Steve Vance, Ray Vance, James Vance, all of Clarksville, Mark Vance, TX; brother, James Vance and sister, Shirley Vance, both of PA; two grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
