Rupert Duvall Belt, age 83, Clarksville, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Fieldstone Place, Clarksville. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Byron Dumas officiating with full military honors to follow. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. Rupert entered this life on February 3, 1930 in Tolu, KY, son of the late Rupert and Fay Duvall Belt. He served in the Air Force, had a Bachelors Degree from University of Kentucky, a Masters Degree in Education from University of Michigan, and retired from Ashland Oil. Rupert was Methodist, a Kentucky Colonel, and enjoyed playing golf and tennis. He was preceded in death by two wives: Dorothy Perdue Belt and Joan Belt. He is survived by his loving family which includes his daughters, Brenda Lee (Steve) Overall of Woodbridge, VA, Lura Ellen (David) Taylor of Clarksville, TN, and Gale Fay Vickers of Houston, TX; sister, Virginia Belt of Austin, TX; 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren.
