Ruby Jean Mort, age 84, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023.

Ruby entered this life on November 17, 1939, in Hazel Park, Michigan to the late Gerald and Mildred Wiles Murrell. She married Jack Mort and they spent much time living in Charlevoix, Michigan and DeLand, Florida. She worked in the school system and was a dedicated teacher’s aide. While living in Charlevoix, Ruby worked at the Bergmann Center as a handicap trainer. Additionally, Ruby worked as a licensed realtor and was a proud member of the Order of The Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Murrell.

Survivors include her husband, Jack W. Mort; sons, Thomas C. Mort (Norma E. Santoyo Martinez), Daniel L. Mort (Marcia) Gregory A. Mort (Barbara), and Kevin Mort; grandchildren, Joshua Mort, Megan Mort, Matthew Mort, Joel Mort, Philip Mort, Mitchell Mort, Jackson Mort, Claudia Melissa Mort, and Ana Pamela Mort; great-grandchildren, Addalynn, Jack, Ava, Eloise, and Lilly.
