Ruby Lee Van Beber, 88, Clarksville, died Sunday, November 22, 2009, at Clarksville Manor Nursing Home. The funeral will be held at Shumate Funeral Home, Middlesboro, KY. Burial will be in Middlesboro Cemetery. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. She was born March 7, 1921 in Middlesboro, KY and was preceded in death by her husband, LTC Bill Ed Van Beber Sr. (U.S. Army Ret). Mrs. Van Beber was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church and the Eastern Star. She is survived by her children, Bill (Vivian) Van Beber Jr., Clarksville, Richard (Donna) Van Beber, Milton, FL; sisters, Mrs. Don (Thelma) Williams, Louisville, Mrs. Evertt (Wilma) Mays, Helen Harris, Mrs. James (Suzi) Pursifull, all of Middlesboro, KY; brothers, Calloway Arthur Massengill, Harold Massengill, both of Middlesboro, KY; grandsons, Bill (Rebeccah) Van Beber III, Clarksville, Paul (Melanie) Van Beber, Oklahoma, Mark (Marie) Van Beber, Guthrie, KY; granddaughter, Beth (Jay) Fowler, Clarksville; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Van Beber, Jenna Van Beber, Aren Eckstein, Clarksville, Jake Van Beber, New York, Brayden Van Beber, Oklahoma, Tommy Van Beber, Guthrie, KY.
