Roy Powell

Roy Lester Powell passed away September 14, 2011 at Patient’s Choice Medical center. Lester was born March 20, 1931, son of the late Walter Edward Powell and Inie Lee Parker Powell Lemieux. He was preceded in death by his sister Ruby Lundie. Lester was a member of Erin Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge # 300, Shriners, Scottish Rites and Clarksville Commanders. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Moody and Bro. Truitt L. Cockrell Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife Jeanette Powell of Erin, TN; sons, Philip Powell (Sandra) of Clarksville, TN, Kerry Powell (Kathy) of Erin, TN; daughter, Karen Byrd (Jim) of Adams, TN; sister, Sandy Poling of Taylor, MI; grandchildren, Kristopher Powell, Nicholas Powell (Laurel), Tyler Powell, Celene Powell Schmidt (Danny), Lance Powell (Jessica), Kara Byrd, Payton Byrd (Rebecca), Tonya Byrd Vaden (Danny); great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Abby and Brody Powell, Cameron and Samantha Kaye Powell, Sean Wright, Jonathan Steele, Robert and Mary Byrd. Pallbearers will be Kris Powell, Nicholas Powell, Tyler Powell, Lance Powell, Danny Schmidt, Robert Wright, and Terry Bruce. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Erin Baptist Church P.O.
