Roy H. Christoffer, age 87, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church with the Reverend Larry Peters officiating. Burial with Army Honors will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Roy's family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at Grace Lutheran Church.
Roy entered into this life on June 4, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Elroy and Lillian Eckel Christoffer. As a young man, he proudly served with the US Army in the Korean War. Shortly after his service to country, Roy married the love of his life, Elly Glabow Christoffer, on June 5, 1954. Roy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
In addition to his wife, Elly, survivors include his children, Roy E. Christoffer and his wife, Deborah, Jay Christoffer and his wife Suzanne, and Guy Christoffer and his wife, Marjorie. Also, Roy is survived by his grandchildren whom he adored, Bryan, Brandon, Lauren, and Jayson Christoffer, and his great granddaughter, Jaden Cambron. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Marc Vitale.
