Roxie Bowers

Roxie Anna Bowers, 89, Clarksville, died Monday, November 19, 2007, at General Care Convalescent Center. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Blooming Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the church. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 30, 1918 in Montgomery County, daughter of William Henry Carpenter and Roxie Anna Wilkins Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Herschel Bowers; and seven brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Bowers was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church since 1941,and was former co-owner of String Town Market. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
