Rosie Starnes

Rosie Ann Starnes, age 85, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023.
Rosie entered this life on March 2, 1938, in Clarksville to the late Howard and Dorothy Bumpus. Rosie was retired from a career in education, having attained degrees in Business Education and an advanced degree in Secondary School Administration. After retirement, she went on to have a second career in the local restaurant industry. Rosie enjoyed attending various Baptist churches throughout the area and spent much of her leisure time knitting, crocheting, and working in the yard.
In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her daughter Angie Starnes. She is survived by her son, Alan Starnes and daughter-in-law, Tracey Starnes, grandchildren, Brieonna Onyeama, Nickolett Onyeama, Alexis Starnes, and Dakota Starnes, and her sister, Betty Joyce Arvey.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Sango Cemetery, corner of Sango Drive & Sango Road, with Pastor Jason Bullington officiating. Condolences may be made to Rosie’s family at NaveFuneralHomes.com.
