Rosemary Roby

Rosemary Long Roby, age 71, of Clarksville, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Clarksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Reverends Steve Louder and E.G. Sims officiating. Rosemary will be laid to rest at the Bethel Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Rosemary entered into this life on December 4, 1944 to Thomas R. Long and Evelyn Mae Bowers. She was retired from a career with the City of Clarksville Gas and Water, Parking Authority, and Parks & Recreation. Along with her career, Rosemary was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Additionally, Rosemary was a beloved member of the church family at Clarksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was actively involved in the Friendship Sunday School Class.
She was predeceased by parents, Jesse and Evelyn Bowers and Thomas and Birdie Long.
Rosemary is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Wilbur Ray Roby; loving daughters, Tammy Jones and husband Troy, and Mary Evelyn Williams and husband Shane; grandchildren, Colby Jones, Torrie Jones, and Coltyn Jones, all of Clarksville; siblings, Phyllis Turner and husband Jim, Molly Brock and husband Ricky, Ann Nolen, Wayne Reynolds and wife Carolyn; and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as Pallbearers are Shane Williams, Troy Jones, Colby Jones, Coltyn Jones, Jesse Reynolds, Tim Roby, and Craig Williams. Members of the Friendship Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are preferred to the Clarksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 1410 Golf Club Ln., Clarksville, TN 37040. Also, the family would like to extend a special thank you to the Montgomery County E.M.S., the Vanderbilt Life Flight Team, and Vanderbilt Medical Center.
