It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosa “Rosie” Jane Stavely , a loving mother and devoted wife on April 2, 2025. She was born on Elk Creek in Stewart County on April 22, 1944, daughter to the late Otho Byors Mohon and Clatie Anderson Mohon. Rosa was devoted to her beloved church and church family at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lebanon TN. Rosa was a kind and generous person always putting others first before herself. She was gentle and soft spoken. Her loving heart and beautiful smile will forever be cherished and missed by her family and friends.
Rosa is predeceased by her parents, Otho Mohon and Clatie Mohon; sisters, Lillian “Eany” Bryant, Florene “Sis” Morgan; brother, Tom Mohon; and son, Charles Ricky Stavely.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Wesley Stavely; son, Mark Keith Stavely; daughter, Melissa Renee’ White; son in law, Dennis Lee White; sisters, Jean Musser, Joyce Coakley, Lou Deason (Kenneth), Faye Harvey (W.D.); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home in Erin TN on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Services to follow. Burial will follow in McDonald Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Gary Harvey, David Deason, Dwayne Deason Tracy Stavely, Larry Bryant, Brother in Law W.D. Harvey and friend Mike Campbell.
