Ronnie Carroll

James Ronald Carroll, age 66 of Cunningham, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 at Marion United Methodist Church, with Rev. David Mackens and Rev. Thomas Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the church.
Mr. Carroll was born June 26, 1947 in Upson County, GA and preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Mattie Mildred Cliatt Carroll; and his brother, Howard Eugene Carroll.
He was a retired Riverboat Captain.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Wolard Carroll; son, James R. "Jimmy" Carroll, Jr. and his wife Patti; daughter, Shelly LaRae Carroll Butts and her husband Phillip; brother, Jerry Carroll and wife Joanne; sister, Kathy Carroll Harrison and husband Joel; grandchildren, Kaycie (Brandon) Greene, Kellie Watson, Andrew Michael, Cameron Carroll, Evie Oliveras, Dawson Carroll; and great-grandchild, Braylee Greene.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Carroll, Andrew Michael, Ricky McCracken, Joey Myers, Jason Riggins, Allen Jean and Phillip Butts.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made at Marion United Methodist Church Cemetery or Lone Oak Baptist Church.
