Ronald Pruitt

Ronald Gilbert Pruitt, 78, Chattanooga, TN, died Friday, December 11, 2009, at Park Ridge Hospital East, Chattanooga, TN. The funeral will be held at 1 PM Monday December 14, 2009 at McReynolds-Nave-Larson Chapel with Rev. Jim Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. till 8 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Pruitt was born on September 18, 1931 in Montgomery County, son of the late Fred and Vema Abernathy Pruitt. Mr. Pruitt was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, Springfield, TN. He was retired from Bell South after 30 years. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 yrs., Grace Beasley Pruitt, a son, Ronnie Pruitt, a granddaughter, Jessica Williams and a brother, Leon Pruitt. Mr. Pruitt is survived, a son, Kenny (Sherry) Pruitt of Chattanooga, TN; daughter, Janet (Robert) Cobasky of Woodlawn, daughter-In-Law, Angela Joiner Pruitt of Clarksville, grandchildren, Craig Pruitt, John Pruitt, Richard Herrell, Robert Cobasky III, Andrea McLane and Matthew Cobasky. Pallbearers will be, Hubert Griffy, Jr., Craig Pruitt, Richard Herrell, Chad Weakley, Darrell Gibbs and Donnie Eley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Telephone Company Friends.
