Ronald Jeff Lewis, age 70, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at his home in Clarksville.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at Lewis Cemetery, Cumberland City, with the Rev. David Mackens officiating.
The Lewis family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Ronald entered this life on October 18, 1943, son to Nolan Fletcher Lewis, Jr. and Alma Ruth Harris Lewis Welker. He was a career-long public servant with the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Trooper Lewis retired following 29 years of service with the rank of Lieutenant. Ronald was a graduate of the W.T. Thomas High School in Cumberland City, Class of 1961, and was a Methodist.
Ronald is survived by his loving family which includes his wife of 50 years, Jeannie Walker Lewis of Clarksville; son, Jeffery Thomas Lewis and his wife Jennifer; mother, Alma Ruth Lewis Welker; granddaughter, Emily Jean Lewis; and sister, Debbie Underwood and her husband Kevin. He was preceded in death by his father and his brothers, Samuel and Jack Lewis.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hope Lodge, 2008 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN 37203.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Walker, Bill Foust, Newton Wallace, Freddie Parchman, Bradley Walker, and Jason Lewis.
