Roger Stuard

Roger Wayne Stuard, age 67, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018.
A service celebrating Roger's life will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. His family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Roger entered into this life on April 6, 1950 to parents Frank Stuard, Sr. and Margie Davenport Stuard. He was married to the love of his life, Beverly Ann Bain Stuard in February of 1974 and over the years enjoyed all a fruitful marriage had to offer. Hard work and laughter was the foundation of Roger's life. He began his career at Ajax Distributing in 1986 and enjoyed his role as a Supervisor and equally enjoyed a close friendship with his co-workers. He will be missed by a host of special friends, most notably his closest: Dale Dunn, Jeff Turner, AB Baggett, Eddie Taylor, and Brent Hyams.
Roger found a closeness with God in nature and enjoyed being in His divinely created open space. Fishing, hunting, and playing golf were some of his favorite outdoor activities. He also liked time spent hanging with "the guys" and cooking, grilling, and entertaining. Roger was full of life and will always be remembered for his charismatic smile and laughably dancing to Motown music.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margie, and his sister, Brenda Kay Stuard Williams. Survivors include his loving wife, Beverly Ann Bain Stuard; children, Amber Stuard, Tracey Smith (Gene), and Mark Clayton (Tamy); and siblings, Danny Stuard (Josephine), Frank Stuard, Jr. (Lynn), and Joann Warfield (Ray). He was also the proud Grandfather to Taylar Stuard, Kenneth Meek, Jr. (Melina), Dustin Meek (Chelsey), and Taren Clayton, Great Grandfather of five, and uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.
