Robert Wayne Young, 81, Clarksville passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Grace Healthcare.
A celebration of his life will be held 12 noon, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. John Dalton officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Young was born May 28, 1932 in White Salmon, WA and was preceded in death by his parents, William Jackson and Bertha Irene Schilling Young.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, served during the Korean War, and later was a well driller and mechanic. He loved to read the Bible and watch westerns, and was a member of Gateway Baptist Church and former member of Manumalo Baptist Church in American Samoa and North Valley Baptist Church in Santa Clara, CA.
Survivors include two daughters and a son from his first marriage; his wife, Rosa Young; sons, Matthew Pulusila Young, Robert Young Jr., Phillip Anthony Young, California; daughters, Imeleta Patricia Fiaui, CA, Genevieve Young Taele, Pago Pago, American Samoa, Judith Dolly Young, Clarksville; and twelve grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Gateway Baptist Church, 131 Corporate Drive, Clarksville, TN 37043.
