Robert Strauser

Robert "Bob" Kuhn Strauser, age 85, died July 5, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, 1209 Madison St., Clarksville, with the Revs. Larry Robertson and Terry Brown of Hilldale Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Stewart Co., TN.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Bob was born in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, PA, the son of John Alvin and Anna (Creveling) Strauser. Robert was married first to Anna (Martz) and second to Nora Lee (Killebrew) Killebrew of Clarksville.
Bob was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received a Purple Heart and various other medals. During the War he fought in Normandy, Rhineland, and central Europe. He was retired from the home construction business. He was a Christian and member of the Hilldale Baptist Church.
Survivors include his Wife Nora of Clarksville; Son Robert Jr. in Pennsylvania by Bob's first wife Anna (Martz); step-daughter Carol (Killebrew) Williams-Hach, Clarksville; two step-grandchildren, Carrie (Williams) Erickson [Bruce] of Slater, Iowa and Robert Williams, Jr. [Laura (Robinson)] of Des Moines, Iowa; five step-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings and step-great-granddaughter Abigail Lorraine Williams.
