Robert Somers

Robert Leroy Somers, 78, Clarksville, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Kim Smith & Rev. Brett Smith officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born December 29, 1929 in Minnesota and was the widower of Anneliese K. Somers. Mr. Somers was a retired SFC of the U.S. Army where he had served in Viet Nam and Korea. He also retired from Trane Company and had worked in Fort Campbell Commissary. Survivors include his son Roger Somers; daughters, Mary Jo Lehman, Kimberly Ann Cherres; grandchildren, Victoria Lynn Lehman, Alexandra Cherres; great-grandchildren, Tristan Dean Nicholson and Brianna Lynn Nicholson.
