Robert Charles Mugridge, age 65, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with William Thomas officiating. A private committal will take place at a later time at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors rendered.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Robert entered this life on June 9, 1949 in Port Huron, Michigan. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force following 21 years of dedicated service to his country. Following retirement, Robert was employed with Lockheed Martin. Robert was also very active in the community. He was a life member of VFW Post 8422, past member of VFW Post 11160, a member of the Loyal Order of the Cooties Pup Tent 5, Commander of Cooties Pup Tent 4, and Commander of VFW Post 11160. Robert was also a member of the church family at Clarksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy M. Riggins Mugridge; sons, Robert C. Mugridge, Jr. and Benjamin R. Mugridge (wife Carrie); daughter; Terri Renee Miller; grandsons, Dalton Roy Mugridge and Matthew R. Lynn; and granddaughters, Madelyn Mugridge and Morgan Miller.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Tennessee Cottage Fund, c/o the VFW, 3573 S. Waverly Rd., Eaton Rapids, MI 48827.
