Robert Ernest McPherson, Jr., 85, of Tennessee Ridge, TN, died Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Signature Health Care.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Potter officiating. Burial will be in Hutchens Barnes Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born November 13, 1922 in Davidson County, TN, son of the late Robert E. McPherson, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Overton. He was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Hutchens McPherson.
Mr. McPherson was a retired truck driver and a member of Tennessee Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Richard McPherson of Dover, TN, Steven McPherson of Port Huron, MI, Charles McPherson of Paducah, KY, daughter Robyn Henderson of North Pole, AK, and four granchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
