Robert Melvin Lanfear, age 95, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025.

He entered this life on April 16, 1929, in Metamora, Michigan to the late Ronald Lanfear and Lila Belle Olmstead Lanfear.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wives, Jacqueline, Pauline, Constance, and Dorothy; son, Duane Melvin Lanfear, and brother, Roger Fahl.
Survivors include his children, Ronald David Lanfear, Douglas John Lanfear, Brian Lanfear, and Yvonne Williams; sister, Carolyn Lanfear, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
A man of versatility, Robert lettered in four sports during his high school years, showcasing his athletic ability and competitive spirit. His commitment to excellence extended beyond school; he went on to become a semi-professional boxer, displaying not only skill but also a tenacity that earned him respect in the ring. Robert's pursuit of mastery continued as he achieved the rank of 2nd degree black belt, a testament to his unwavering discipline and focus in martial arts. Beyond his athletic achievements, Robert proudly served his country as a Marine during the World War II Era. His service was marked by bravery and commitment, and he carried the values of honor and dedication throughout his life. He also retired from General Motors after a long successful career in plant protection. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed being in nature.
