Robert Eugene `Red` Haynes, 76, Clarksville, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, June 8, 2009, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson with Dr. Roger Freeman and Rev. Chris Edmondson officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. He was born October 28, 1932 in Clarksville, and was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Rozell Blackwell Haynes; son, David Eugene Haynes; brother, Pat Haynes; and sister, Louise Bowers. Mr. Haynes was formerly a Policeman for Clarksville Police Department, and a Supervisor for Ajax Distributing Company. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed bird watching and Indian and Western Scenery Art. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Grace Jeanette Howard Haynes, Clarksville; daughter, Teressa Eugenia (Robert) Phipps, Clarksville; son, Howard Keith (Angie) Haynes, Clarksville; brother, Larry Haynes, Clarksville; and granddaughter, Paige Moody, Clarksville. Pallbearers will be Tyler Barrett, Chuck Wallace, Jeff Herrington, Jeff Turner, Scott Turner and Billy Youngquist.
