Robert Grimes

Robert Allen Grimes, Sr., age 79, of Clarksville, went home to our Heavenly Father on Friday, September 9, 2016.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Lenny Carter officiating. Burial with Air Force Honors will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Robert was born May 24, 1937 in Pembroke, Kentucky, son to the late Robert Harrell and Elizabeth Lorene Thaxton Harrell. Robert was retired from a career with the U.S. Air Force, during which time he bravely served in Vietnam. Following his service to country, Robert went to work for the Trane Company and enjoyed many years there before his second retirement. Additionally, Robert was a Christian, a Goodwill Connoisseur, and an avid outdoorsman. He loved both hunting and fishing.
Robert was welcomed into life eternal by his beloved wife, Flora Mae Proctor Grimes and his children, Donnie Grimes and Debbie Grimes.
He leaves behind his sons, Robert A. Grimes Jr., Mickel D. Grimes, David L. Grimes and his wife Melissa, all of Clarksville, eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mickel Grimes, Chris Grimes, Devon Grimes, Donnie Grimes, Andre Lowe, and Terry Shelton.
