Robert Carter

Robert Hensley Carter, age 82 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.
A celebration of his life will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Stringfield officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
The Carter family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday afternoon at the funeral home.
Robert entered this life on August 30, 1938 in Houston County, TN, son to the late James Reid and Mayzell Carter. Robert proudly served his country in the United States National Guard and later retired from Wright Industries as a machinist after 35 years of service.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Jean Carter.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Tina Renee (Greg) Scism; siblings, Marylee (Jimmy) Stringfield, Carolyn (Jerry) Bryant, Linda (Mitchell) Smithy, Brenda Durham, Ray (Betty) Carter, Richard Carter and Troy (Margit) Carter. Robert also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Dakota (Raistlin) Burlison, Dalton Hulme, Logan (Christina) Hulme, Victoria (Nate) Lundgren, Clayton Hulme; great-grandchildren, Graysen Lundgren, Carsen Lundgren, and Emersen Lundgren.
Nephews and great nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are the Signature Heath Care team including, Marchella Quarles-Sanchez, Heather Blackmon, Shelby Stewart, Lacy Hudson, Louise Helbig, Joanna Melton, Dawonna Hardwick, Nae Laxton Tolley, Tabitha Cary, and the entire C Wing Staff all of which showed Robert the most loving and compassionate care.
